Description

This longish par 4 requires you to Throttle Up your driver early in the round to have a chance at reaching this difficult two-tiered green with your second shot.

Hole 3 "Windsheer" Par 4


Hole Layout

Description

The #1 handicap hole on the course requires a solid drive toward the left center of the fairway to hold off the easterly wind and avoid the hazard down the right side. This hole will most likely require a long second shot at the left center of the green to avoid the Windsheer and large greenside bunker.

Hole 4 "Runway" Par 5


Hole Layout

Description

The longest par 5 on the course usually plays into the wind parallel to the St. Lucie County International Airport Runway. You will most likely need to take an extra club or two to reach this large, well-guarded, slightly elevated green.

This very challenging hole is going to take one of your best drives to Touch 'n' Go at the flagstick with your second shot. There usually is a hair more break on the green than meets the eye.

Hole 11 "Aces" Par 3


Hole Layout

Description

While over half of all Aces recorded at Fairwinds are made on this very short par 3, many players find themselves in a lot of trouble long and left. This long, narrow kidney shaped green is the inspiration for the golf courses new logo after the bent palm was blown away in the hurricanes of 2004. Two Aces, one and one, make 11.
